THE INFLUENCE OF COLOR SYMBOLISM ON INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN REPRESENTATIVES OF DIFFERENT ETHNIC GROUPS

This article examines and analyzes national mental attitudes in the context of intercultural communication through the lens of color-related vocabulary. It is established that tolerance toward other cultures and the ability to adapt are of particular importance in intercultural interaction. Genuine adaptation and acceptance do not imply a loss of cultural identity; on the contrary, they are essential conditions for successful communication. Intercultural communication encompasses many aspects, and the use of culturally specific color symbolism can serve as an effective means of deepening mutual understanding. Based on the analysis of the relationship between color vocabulary and intercultural interaction, the article proposes the thesis that each language community possesses its own unique system of color symbolism, and explores its role in intercultural communication from the perspective of mutually beneficial cultural exchange.
