The article analyzes options for long-term planning in preparation for the All-Russian Sports Sports Complex "GTO". Attention is focused on the need to develop a special model for constructing the annual cycle for different components: normative testing and sports (GTO Games). The construction of an annual cycle is proposed, based on a series of mesocycles consisting of three mesocycles. It is presented in detail that each mesocycle has its own focus, tied to the development of one or more physical qualities. In conclusion, it is emphasized that due to the difference in the goals and objectives of the different components of the All-Russian Sports Sports Complex "GTO" (normative testing and sports "GTO Games"), the features of the construction of the training process should also differ.
