TEACHING WRITING FOR BUSINESS COMMUNICATION IN THE COURSE OF THE PROFESSIONALLY ORIENTED DISCIPLINE “A FOREIGN LANGUAGE”

The article considers features of written texts used in English business communication which are essential for the development of communicative competence. The purpose of the study is to describe some structural and culturally appropriate features of written English which should be taken into account when conducting a professionally oriented English language course designed for HR students. The scientific novelty of the study is to clarify characteristics of written messages that reflect the peculiar features of the English business culture. As a result of the study, there was identified a range of speech clichés and patterns used in English business writing.
