FEATURES OF USING INTERTEXT IN THE MOVIE "THE GREEN MILE"

Text linguistics is a dynamically developing field of linguistics, however, many key issues of this discipline, such as types of texts, their system characteristics and categories, remain insufficiently studied by scientists. In addition, the translation of literary texts is also a special type of translation activity due to the fact that many translated literary texts become part of national literature and provide an exchange of cultural information between peoples. Accordingly, it can be said that translated literary texts carry out the process of intercultural communication. One of these types of text is an artistic film text. The intertextual connections of films created in a particular culture are often not taken into account when these films are perceived by a foreign audience, which makes it necessary to explain them. Accordingly, the relevance of this study is due to the lack of a single definition of intertextuality, as well as the lack of due attention to the issue of intertextual relations of films and the peculiarities of their transmission into another language, in particular Russian.
