FEATURES AND DIFFICULTIES OF TEACHING ESL STUDENTS OF NON-LINGUISTIC SPECIALTIES PROFESSIONAL-ORIENTED WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN A FOREGN LANGUAGE

The article analyzes how written speech is taught in a foreign language to students studying English as a second language at higher educational institutions of Russia under current conditions. An in-depth study of the process of creation of teaching aids for business writing in a foreign language is carried out, identifying specific problems encountered by students in forming and improving the skills of business writing communication in a foreign language. Statistical data of the experiment conducted in groups of law students of the fourth semester in writing professional oriented business letters in a foreign language are disclosed. It has been discovered that there exist four classifications of errors when writing business letters in a foreign language, which in turn are divided into seven main types.
