The article considers the possibility of introducing the aspect related to the study of praise in Japanese and Russian in the discipline “Problems of linguistic politeness” for undergraduate students of language universities. Including this topic in the teaching process contributes to the expansion of the vocabulary of the studied language, as well as a deeper understanding of the national-cultural peculiarities of the region under study. Due to the comparative analysis of two foreign languages (Japanese and Russian), the internal mechanisms and its specifics, processes of interaction and enrichment of languages in the context of intercultural communication in professional sphere were studied.
