The article is devoted to topical issues of teaching methods of Russian as a foreign language at the pre-university stage of training in the context of modern educational realities. The article examines the features of working with scientific text as the main unit of study for international students in the context of digitalization of education. The article analyzes modern approaches to the formation of communicative competence through working with scientific texts, the peculiarities of adapting scientific materials for the pre-university stage, as well as the role of a virtual educational environment in the organization of the educational process.
