The article examines the philosophical and psychological foundations of aesthetic perception and their role in shaping the personality of students in children’s art schools. Special attention is given to the potential of Chinese folk art (paper cutting, porcelain, traditional painting, calligraphy) in the process of aesthetic education. Typical shortcomings of current practice are highlighted, and a methodological system of aesthetic development for students based on an integrative approach is substantiated. Criteria for assessing the results of aesthetic education are presented. It is revealed that the use of traditional Chinese art contributes to the formation of artistic taste, the development of creativity, and students’ moral values. The conclusion emphasizes the need to combine cultural heritage with modern pedagogical technologies to enhance the effectiveness of art education.
