The rapid digitalization, urbanization and globalization of Chinese society have led to profound transformations in the social environment of student development. Social development of a personality is understood as a complex process of becoming an individual in society, including four key aspects: social cognition (understanding social norms and institutions), social emotions (empathy, moral feelings), social interaction (communication, cooperation) and social adaptation (problem solving, integration into new groups). The traditional educational model, limited by the walls of the school, demonstrates its inadequacy in effectively countering the new challenges facing the harmonious social development of young people. These challenges are directly related to the fragmentation of social space (real and virtual), the conflict of values (traditional and modern), as well as the increasing complexity of the processes of self-identification and social adaptation. In this context, it is particularly relevant to build a new educational paradigm that can purposefully facilitate students' successful passage of key stages of social development in the context of the complexity of modern society.
