The article explores the concept of an individual educational trajectory for students and the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in its formation and support. The paper analyzes the characteristics of individual educational trajectories, including personalization, design, and implementation of a student’s educational path. The study emphasizes that integrating individual educational trajectories into the training of pedagogical university students using AI technologies allows for moving beyond the traditional framework of lesson organization. This is achieved through the rapid identification of students’ individual characteristics and preferences, the organization of learning by selecting personalized assignments and materials, and the provision of feedback as a tool for reflecting on student progress. Within the framework of empirical research, the educational needs and expectations of students from the Penza Pedagogical Institute were analyzed. Methods included content analysis (word cloud), text analysis (using @GPT4Tbot), group interviews, and learning effectiveness was assessed using D. Kirkpatrick’s model. The results highlight the unique capabilities of artificial intelligence technologies in constructing individual student educational trajectories and the necessity of integrating educational programs and teaching methodologies into the university’s educational environment.
