This article explores the potential of project-based educational technologies in the process of teaching foreign languages to students at aviation universities. Particular attention is given to the integration of professional orientation into language training with the aim of developing foreign language communicative competence necessary for successful professional activity in an international environment. The study analyzes the stages of implementing project-based learning, the methodologies and technologies used, as well as their impact on the development of linguistic, cognitive, and communicative skills of learners. The research is grounded in the principles of activity theory and competency-based education paradigms, emphasizing the importance of practice-oriented instruction. The aim of the study is to assess the effectiveness of the project method in fostering foreign language competencies among future professionals in the aviation industry and to determine its role in developing reflective, analytical, and creative abilities in students. Research findings demonstrate that the use of project-based technologies not only enhances English language proficiency but also contributes to the formation of a comprehensive understanding of the professional field, while promoting autonomy, teamwork, and intercultural communicative competence.
