The article examines the role of animation as a means of media communication and a tool of political communication in the Russian electoral process. Using the example of Ilya Shakalov, deputy of the Krasnoarmeysky district of the Krasnodar Territory, Kubanmultfilm Animation Studio and the United Russia Party, the cases of using animation to increase electoral engagement, popularize political initiatives and create a positive image of candidates are analyzed. The study is based on a series of exclusive animated videos created specifically as part of the election campaign in the Krasnodar Territory in 2025, based on comments from political experts, media materials, social networks and official publications.
The paper also presents the results of an analysis aimed at determining the significance of animation as a means of media communication, a tool of political communication in the Russian electoral process, and a mechanism for shaping a positive communicative and legal culture in modern society. In conclusion of the study is made.
