The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the development of the vocational training system in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In the conditions of the unique climatic and geographical conditions of the region, the issues of vocational education become especially relevant.
The article examines the demographic and educational situation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), paying special attention to the population dynamics and the structure of the educational system of the region. The republic, located mainly beyond the Arctic Circle, is characterized by a low population density and significant territorial differences in the distribution of urban and rural population. By 2024, the population of the Republic of Sakha is 1001965 people, maintaining a trend towards natural growth, which distinguishes the region from other subjects of Russia.
The article considers the multinationality of the republic and the importance of ethnocultural education, including the teaching of native languages of indigenous peoples. The analysis pays attention to the shortage of teaching staff, deficiencies in the material and technical base of educational institutions, as well as the necessary measures to improve the quality of vocational education. The increase in the admission figures for secondary vocational education (SVE) programs and the implementation of the "Professionality" program indicate positive changes in the education system.
The article also emphasizes the need to develop regional cooperation to improve the accessibility and quality of education, integrate new educational programs and create educational and production centers. In conclusion, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has the potential to create an effective educational environment that promotes the training of qualified personnel necessary for the socio-economic development of the region.
