A SET OF EFFECTIVE PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGIES AND METHODS OF INFLUENCE TO INCREASE STUDENTS' MOTIVATION TO LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: PEDAGOGICAL ARTISTRY

The article is devoted to the study of a set of effective pedagogical strategies and methods of influence to increase students' motivation to learn a foreign language. The author substantiates the relevance and significance of the research topic. The author notes that students' motivation is a key factor that influences the success of learning a foreign language. It is important to apply a variety of strategies and methods that contribute to the formation of sustained interest in the subject. In this context, special attention is paid to pedagogical artistry, which includes the ability to involve students in the learning process and make it more personality-oriented and interesting. The purpose of the article is to detail the content, functions and structure of pedagogical artistry as a multi-skill, the formation and active use of which will create the potential to achieve the general goal of teaching a foreign language in higher education - achieving the meta-objective result of "proficiency in a foreign language", as well as the useful use of knowledge about ways, methods and tools to transform this result into an existential skill. To achieve this goal, the author used general scientific and special research methods. The author comes to the conclusion that in the modern educational process, especially in the field of learning a foreign language, it is necessary to strive to create an atmosphere that will promote not only the teaching of language skills, but also the development of intercultural competencies. This, in turn, will help future professionals become confident and successful participants in a globalized world where effective communication with representatives of other cultures is a vital skill. Pedagogical artistry, as part of this process, becomes a key tool that opens doors to new opportunities and creates cultural exchange. Research results: the article proves that in order to effectively achieve the goal of mastering a foreign language course at a university, a teacher needs a clear understanding (knowledge) of the target driving forces (dominant motives) of his students, the ability to detect them and the skills to activate them.
