The remnants of the ancient beliefs of the South Mountain Tajiks of Tajikistan (XX v.)

During the ethnographic study of the edge (80-90s of the past and the early years of this century), we found that among the mountain Tajiks, especially in remote mountain villages, very well preserved some elements of the ancient pre-Islamic beliefs, which play an important role in their social life. They are full of all the rituals are performed in a ritualistic manner. The remaining elements of the ancient beliefs of the mountain Tajiks, primarily derived from the ancient and rich Iranian mythology. Zoroastrian ideas which were common in ancient times in the "History of Tajikistan", now well preserved in mountain Tajiks, despite the influence of many religions, including Islam.
