Foreign policy of Peter III

Utkin Denis   (The Yaroslavl Demidov State University)

This article is related to Russian Empire foreign policy carried out during the reign of Peter III. The questions concerning the main foreign-policy initiatives of Peter III, his personal participation in decision making and reasons that determined it, are reviewed. The author concludes that Peter's III activities first of all conformed his own personal interests and didn't comply the interests of Russia, and besides not all foreign-policy initiatives of that time belonged to him.
