Motivational enhancement and research guidance effect of translating efforts of students allow them to use the translation of foreign scientific publications as a means of developing certain language skills. The translation of foreign scientific publications increases students’ awareness of the communicative relevance of their professional language skills and encourages them to improve their multilingual, cross-cultural, and information retrieval competencies.
