Secondary vocational school of late imperial Russia in the Soviet historiography

The historiographical review of the researches of the Soviet period revealing the problem of the formation and development of the secondary vocational education system of Russia in the pre-revolutionary period is conducted. In this paper we give grounding to the development model of the XXth century history of Russian pedagogy. Some methodological and theoretical issues of the theme development in historical and pedagogical aspects are illustrated. The significance of historical-pedagogical experience for modern educational theory and practice is determined.
