The formation of the Ryazan school of Philology: to the 100th anniversary of Ryazan state University named for S.A. Yessenin

The article focuses on the establishment of philological and linguistic schools at the Department of Russian philology and culture (previously the Department of Russian Language and Literature) of Ryazan State University named for S. Esenin. The article puts a special emphasis on the role of certain scientists in the development of research activities; research guidelines range from the regional aspect in the study of the Russian language and culture to the elaboration of fundamental questions of the history of Russian literature and world literary process, the history of the Russian language, theory and methodology of philological research.
