In this article, the question remains of Roman land registers listed on the territo-ries of five cities liberae et immunes of the Province of Africa is examined. Ac-cording to the author, the organization of these lands free cities by Roman standards appears first, as the simple consequence of economic and legal sanc-tions, one of those cited was the subject and secondly, as a testament to the positive reaction of the four other cities in romanization process initiated in the province.
