The Cossack settlements of the 3rd Siberian Cossack division troops in the second half of the nineteenth century: management, economic activities, socio - economic development

The history of the Siberian Cossack army becomes the subject of ongoing scientific interest of Russian historiography. However, the history of individual regions of the settlement of the Siberian Cossacks are also poorly represented in the research literature. Only in the recent time the historical description of the individual administrative units of the Siberian Cossack troops has become the subject of interest of local historians, but these studies are only in the context of the General works on the history of the Siberian Cossacks. This essay is an attempt to describe for the first time a separate detachment of the Siberian Cossacks, the so-called 3-th Department of the Siberian Cossack troops, which included the land of the Cossack settlements by the river Irtysh, the area of the cities of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semipalatinsk, Pavlodar.
