Figurative and symbolic features of the translation оf Shakespeare’s LX sonnet by Valery Bryusov

The article aims at disclosing and analyzing symbols and images used by Brusov V.Y. while translating Shakespeare's sonnets. Brusov V.Y. being the master of translation developed his peculiar and rather free interpretation for their translation. Rather, they are seen as poetic fantasy verses based on Shakespeare's sonnets. Brusov V.Y. applied the technique known as symbolic aesthetics which uses symbols and images of the old school of poetic symbolism.
