Baku oil industry in the years of the Great Patriotic war. Formation of the oil fund

The article deals with the role of Baku oil fields in the victory of the USSR in the Great Partiotic War. The author proves that one of the main causes of the defeat of the German troops was the acute shortage of oil products, because in Germany itself there was no oil at all and Romanian fields were far from meeting the demands of the Hitler coalition. Meanwhile the oil riches of the Absheron Peninsula became for the Soviet Union a powerful energy base in its task to repel the aggression.
