The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is an effective union of Eurasian countries, based on the common for the participant countries political, economic, cultural and value imperatives. Among these imperatives is understanding of the SCO as a multicultural and multiregional unit, not a unified conglomerate. Besides this, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is based on the integration principle , not on the principle of convergence (according to the terminology of A. Zinoviev). The last factor is a key for its further effective development.
