General trends and results development of domestic broadcasting in the post-Soviet period

The article focuses on the main features and development trends, as well as the results of the restructuring of TV broadcasting in Russia after 1990. Considering the processes of privatization and the formation of new conditions of interaction between television media and government, the author identifies a number of essential prerequisites that are important for understanding the capabilities of modern domestic broadcasting in the field of mass communication in the country.
