Traditions of St.-Petersburg State Art-Industrial Academy named A.L. Stieglitz in the training of decorative artists profile

The article discusses the process of the formation of the Russian art school in the field of decorative-applied art and of artistic design, for example the creation of the Central school of technical drawing named A. L. Stieglitz. Through the preservation of traditions and introduction of innovations, analyzed the basic issues of methodology of teaching painting and their improvement in the preparation of graphic designers and artists of applied arts.
