Inspector's examination of uniforms and equipment of the Nizhny Novgorod militia in November 1812

In this article, the process and results of the inspection of the Nizhny Novgorod militia in 1812 are considered. Particular attention is paid to how the warriors were to be equipped according to the adopted standards and how they were actually equipped. The results of the inspection review are submitted to several units of the militia, on the basis of which it can be concluded that the Nizhny Novgorod militia was not properly prepared for the military campaign
