This paper analyzes the problem of sociolinguistic variability of the pronouns in modern Chinese. Studying pronouns from the perspective of sociolinguistics is an important research direction of modern Chinese. The use of various pronoun variants in daily communication is a very common and habitual phenomenon. However, few people pay attention to this problem. The significance of this research, from the perspective of theory, can deepen the understanding of the pronoun variants and make up for the blank of the study of Chinese social linguistics. On the other hand, the results of pronouns variant research can promote foreign students to understand the phenomenon of pronouns variant, this can be used for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and has application value in promoting mandarin to south area at the same time.
