The transformation of Peter's time in the field of education, science and technology

The article is devoted to the reformatory activity of Peter I with the transformations in the field of education. Peter the great, who respected foreign teachers and scientists, understood perfectly well that Russia needed its own educational institutions of a practical nature. When it was created the naval, engineering and artillery school and medical school, but the main achievement in the field of education and science include the creation of the Academy of Sciences, the structure of which included such schools as the University and the school of the Academy. The emergence of a new educated though very small stratum of the population immediately gave its results.
