To the question of the evolution of religious practices of the mountaineers of the Caucasus: Mints-Loam sacred mountain Ingush

Quite a lot of authors wrote about the religious practices of the mountaineers of the Caucasus. Among them are such famous researchers as the first ethnographer from the Ingushs Ch. Akhriev, N. Grabovsky and others. All these works contain valuable information about the life and customs of the mountaineers of the Caucasus. However, the social role of the cult of holy places in the life of the mountaineers of the Caucasus is almost not described in them. Our article is intended to supplement the gap in the study of the religious practices of the Ingush, as a socially significant phenomenon in the life of society and the individual. The article uses previously published scientific articles and field materials collected by the author, which made it possible to detect the transformation of pilgrimages and sacrifices.
