The activities of the Masonic Russian émigré lodge "North Star": the historiography of the problem

The article analyzes the historiographical basis of studying the topic of the activity of the Masonic Russian émigré lodge “Northern Star”. It is argued that the history of the activity of masons in Russia and abroad is reflected in the historiography of literature on Russian Freemasonry of the 20th century and literature on the brothers of the North Star Lodge. Separately, the literature on the brothers of the lodge is noted, since it is precisely this that implements such research tasks as the analysis of professional and social activities. It is stated that the historiography of the Masonic Lodge “North Star” is at the stage of formation. The emigration activity within the framework of the functioning of the lodge remains insufficiently studied. Interest is the public activity of the masons, which argues the relevance of the research topic.
