Language game on the basis of precedent phenomena in English fiction and media texts

the article presents semantic and structural-semantic transformations of precedent phenomena as a source of creating the effect of language play in the English-language mass fiction and media text. The presence of some common typological and linguistic features in the texts of syncretic genres of mass fiction and media texts allows us to consider ways of creating a language game with precedent phenomena in these texts together. The ways of transformation of precedent phenomena are illustrated by examples from the works of the genres chiclit, glamour, anti-glamour, edutainment and publications of online versions of "the Guardian" and "The Telegraph" (2015-2019).
