Adaptation strategy when translating movies from Chinese into Russian

The article deals with issues related to the study of the strategy of adaptation when translating movies from Chinese into Russian. The specificity of the definition of the concepts «adaptation strategy», «translation strategy», etc. is studied. The classification of translation strategies is given, in particular, we noted that eight types of strategies should be distinguished: trial and error; literal translation; compression and decompression; transfer of attitude; determine the dominant text density; probabilistic forecasting and others. In addition, the article examines the features of the use of adaptation strategies for translation, as well as identifies the main patterns that form the theoretical and practical basis for the translational analysis of films from Chinese into Russian.
