The role of game exercises in teaching Russian to foreign students (using the example of the textbook "The Road to Russia" (elementary level)

The article notes the importance of game exercises with high motivational potential in teaching Russian as a foreign language. The authors of the article systematize the game exercises used in the course of the textbook "The Road to Russia" (elementary level): phonetic, grammatical, word-formation, lexical, as well as role-playing. The choice of a textbook is not accidental. The authors of the article are convinced that it is at the initial stage of training that the teacher needs to create the necessary conditions for the development of language and speech skills. Each type of exercise is characterized in terms of methodological orientation. For some exercises, variations of use in RCT lessons are given. All types of game exercises are revealed using specific examples from the textbook with a description of the tasks for them. Game exercises are demonstrated in the order of the textbook pages.
