Russian loanwords in the Persian diplomatic documents from the reign of shah Safi I

This article is an overview of Russian loanwords in the Persian documents from the «Persian Diplomatic Documents from the Reign of Shah Safi I from the collection of the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts» collection. This collection includes 57 Persian documents from the reign of Shah Safi I (1629–1642) from the Fond 77 «Russia’s Relations with Persia» of the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts, most of which contain Russian loanwords. While Persian loanwords in the Russian language have been researched well, not many studies deal with the Russian loanwords in the Persian language. The documents from the collection presents a new perspective at this topic and permit to make a conclusion that the process of lexical borrowing between two languages was mutual.
