The publication considers training method issues related with a search of efficient tools for language studying, they are comprehended as secondary aspects and derivatives of training method context, namely: different ways of natural language fundamental vision. The discussion includes four typologically different approaches that allow to consider language to be as follows: as a system of norms and rules (grammar), as an assembly of communication scenarios (rhetoric), a set of communication strategies (discourse), as a synergy of signs of various nature (semiotics). There is a significant shift of the linguistic environment of the higher professional engineering training towards technological attitudes and aspects but not towards humanitarian ones. In this regard there is a need to develop such methods of language training for a modern engineer within which integral humanitarian technological didactic attitudes and models would be dominating.
Keywords:professional education, language training, typological model, engineer, humanitarian technologies.
