YASAK TATARS OF THE YURMA LAND VOLOST OF THE UFA UYEZD (BASED ON THE MATERIALS OF THE CENSUS BOOKS OF 1748 OF THE KAZAN UYEZD)

The article examines the materials of the 1748 census book of the Arsk and Zyureisk roads of the Kazan district with information about the villages of the Yurma land volost and the surrounding territory. The names of some villages indicate their anthroponymic origin (Toikino, Baltachevo and Masyagutovo), which is confirmed by the materials of this population census. Information from Bashkir authors about dd. Masyagutovo and Buzyurovo contains significant inaccuracies. Yasak tatars not only founded their own villages, but also settled in existing villages where tatars of other classes lived. It is noted that some of the revision tales of the yasak tatars of the villages (for example, Buzyurovo and Imen Asta) of the Yurma volost have not been preserved.
