This article discusses the features of modern mathematics teaching. From the first day of life, mathematical consciousness begins to form in the human brain - an idea of the geometric shape and quantitative relations of the world around us. It is impossible to overestimate the role of mathematics as a subject in the education of a citizen of our homeland – Russia, because mathematics teaches you to think logically, the standards of the second generation are aimed at this. It was with mathematics that such an understanding of the world began, which underlies the formation and development of scientific knowledge. With the increasing flow of information in the modern world, it becomes important to identify the main problems in teaching mathematics and highlight the main directions of changes in this area based on the analysis of new educational technologies. Modern mathematics is still the most important tool for the natural sciences. Modern education places increasingly high demands on the teacher to teach mathematics, focusing on innovative processes, meta-subject relationships and the implementation of a competence-based approach in education, the socialization of students, i.e., the willingness of students to use the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities, ways of working in life to solve theoretical and practical problems.
