REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT УДАЧА IN RUSSIAN

This article is devoted to the linguistic and cultural description of the concept of УДАЧА in the Russian language. The purpose of this study is to reveal its national and cultural specifics. The analysis of the concept of УДАЧА in the Russian language confirms both the universality of its representation in the linguistic picture of the world, and the specificity predetermined by the peculiarities of ethnic linguistic consciousness. Russian dictionaries, materials of the National Corpus of the Russian Language, dictionaries of Russian proverbs and sayings have been used to identify typical examples in which the concept of УДАЧА is actualized. The units of analysis and contexts for the research body were selected by the method of continuous and directed sampling, as well as by applying methods of semantic and contextual analysis.
