TURKISMS IN THE NAMES OF NATIONAL HOLIDAYS (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF THE RUSSIAN-LANGUAGE REGIONAL PRESS)

This article examines turkisms as part of the names of national holidays based on the material of the regional press. The research material was data from a continuous sample of explanatory, etymological dictionaries of Russian and Turkic languages, text databases of regional media. The national holidays of the Turkic peoples of Russia – Sabantuy, Salamat, Narduga – are socio-cultural phenomena associated with natural phenomena, the origins of which were laid by the ancient Turks.
