DEVELOPMENT STAGE OF SOCIAL AND PERSONAL UPBRINGING IN THE HISTORY OF PEDAGOGY

Introduction. Modern childhood is undergoing significant changes that affect value orientations, socio-cultural aspects of education, traditional forms of child activity and play activities. Currently, the theoretical foundations of historical periods that determine the targets, essential characteristics, content and organization of the process of socio-personal education of preschool children have not been fully studied. The purpose of the study is to consider the stages of formation of pedagogical thought about the socio-personal education of preschool children on the basis of historical and retrospective analysis. Methodology and methods. The methodological basis of the study was the provisions of axiological, personality-oriented and system-activity approaches, the principles of historicism, scientific approach, the idea of universal connection and interdependence of socio-personal processes of education. Research methods: historical and retrospective analysis of the problem under study, generalization and systematization of the results obtained. Results. The results of the analysis and comparison of approaches to the definition of the concept of "socio-personal education" based on theoretical and methodological literature are presented; theoretical images of socio-personal education through the prism of normative and interpretative general scientific approaches; the problem of theorizing the phenomenon of "socio-personal education" of preschoolers in the history of pedagogy is investigated. The characteristic of historical and pedagogical theories of social and personal education of a personality in foreign and domestic psychological and pedagogical literature is given. The socio-pedagogical determinants of the origin of the idea of socio-personal education of preschoolers from the end of the XVII century to the present are determined.
