LINGUOCULTURAL POTENTIAL OF NATURE IMAGES IN PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS AND PAREMIAES

This article analyses the natural landscape code of German and Russian linguocultures. Linguocultural codes make up the linguistic picture of the world of this or that society, and mastering them is important for understanding the cultural peculiarities of another nation. A special role in linguocultural codes belongs to phraseological units and paremiaes, as they originated at the intersection of language and culture to describe the surrounding world through the stable images and values of a certain society. The aim of the study is to identify paremiaes and phraseological units belonging to the natural-landscape linguocultural code of German and Russian culture, in which they most clearly manifest their cultural meaning.
