TEXTBOOK AS A MEANS FOR FORMING INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES

Teaching foreign languages includes, as a mandatory component, the development of intercultural competence in students. The basic means of teaching foreign languages and developing foreign language intercultural communication skills are teaching aids and educational and methodological complexes, which in the era of digitalization of the educational process can have a variety of formats and are subject to significant improvements in the material given in them. The authors of the article analyze the content of the textbooks, give a classification of the exercises presented in them, analyze groups of illustrative materials and their new formats.
