LANGUAGE AND SEMANTICS: ANALYSIS OF THE PHILOSOPHICAL THEORY OF RUDOLPH CARNAP AND ITS APPLICATION IN PROCESSING AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF NATURAL LANGUAGES

Agoshkova Tatiana Valerievna  (Lecturer Moscow Aviation Institute, Moscow, Russia )

Rudolf Carnap's philosophy of language is one of the theories that can significantly influence the way natural languages are processed. R. Carnap is one of the founders of logical positivism, who developed the theory according to which language should be presented in the form of a formal system that allows one to accurately describe its semantics. This theory implies the formalization of language and its description using formal means. This will allow us to subsequently create precise language models and algorithms that can process natural language texts. The philosophy of Rudolf Carnap offers also an analysis of language and its semantics using a logical-philosophical concept, based on concepts such as extension, intension and equivalence, which can be applied in the processing and comparative analysis of natural languages.

Keywords:formal logical system, philosophical and linguistic category, semantics, R. Carnap, extension, intension, designator, comparative analysis of natural languages.
