The article deals with the problem of harmonization and disharmony of communication, speech conflict in particular, in terms of ecolinguistic approach to the study of linguistic and speech phenomena. The authors distinguish argumentative markers / argumentators as means of harmonization and disharmony which are aimed at enhancement or weakening of the degree of predicate’s correlation to the reality that allows to change the pragmatic content of the statement. The harmonizing nature of argumentators in a speech conflict study allows to define the conflict as a communication act aimed at ecological interaction of the language system and a speaker. The usage of argumentators to reach the disharmony of a conflict may lead to the distortion of a rational and argumentative component of speech behavior.
