This article examines the analysis of the methodological apparatus, which shows the way of organizing the development of cognitive activity of students and focuses on the use of an interdisciplinary approach in the educational process of the university. The methodological apparatus presented in this article focuses on the need to use an interdisciplinary approach to develop the cognitive activity of students in the educational process of the university. As part of the development of cognitive activity of students in the educational process of the university, the polyparadigmatic approach used includes a consistent unity of systemic, personality-oriented, activity-based and interdisciplinary approaches. These approaches allow students to be considered in different characteristics: as an active, developing, and reflecting subject in active cognitive activity for the development of integrative interdisciplinary content in the educational process of the university.
