DEVELOPMENT OF LEXICAL SKILLS OF CHINESE STUDENTS IN THE LIGHT OF THE IDEAS OF ETHNO-ORIENTED METHODS OF TEACHING RFL (BASED ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE TOPIC “HUMAN APPEARANCE”)

This article is devoted to the current issue of the development of lexical skills in classes in Russian as a foreign language. The author examines effective methods and techniques for developing the lexical competence of foreign language students in the process of their foreign language education using the example of their study of the lexical-semantic group of words “Human Appearance”. The article examines the process of formation of lexical skills of Chinese students, considering the ethno-oriented methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language outside the natural language environment (Russian language proficiency level B1-B2). The work reflects the ethnically determined features of mastering a foreign language by Chinese students and determines the most fruitful ways and means of developing students’ lexical skills. As a result, the author of the article outlines a range of methodological recommendations, the adherence to which qualitatively affects the level of educational results achieved by students in the subject and the implementation of one of the main goals of foreign language education - enriching the vocabulary of foreign speakers.
