VOCABULARY OF THE MANSI CHILDREN’S FOLKLORE (BASED ON TEXTBOOKS OF THE MANSI LANGUAGE OF THE 1930 S)

Kumaeva Maria Vladimirovna  (Candidate of Philological Sciences, Leading Researcher Ob-Ugric Institute of Applied Researches and Development Khanty-Mansiysk )

the beginning of creation of the Mansi writing system dates back to the 1920–1930s, which was created by Soviet scientists. The first alphabet book was published in Latin graphics in 1932. In 1937, the writing system was developed based in Russian graphics, which is still in force. V. N. Chernetsov and I. Ya. Chernetsova took an active part in the preparation of the textbooks. Thus, V. N. Chernetsov “compiled the first Mansi alphabet book “Jilpi lyoŋkha” (“The New Way”) (1932). He took part in the compilation of dictionaries and published the collection “The Vogul Fairy Tales” (1935) [1, p. 93]. Since 1937, Irina Yakovlevna Chernetsova began to compile textbooks. Textbooks and other literature in the Mansi language began to be published regularly. In connection with the “introduction of the native language into school education and publication of textbooks in national languages” [4, p. 4], the authors V. N. Chernetsov and I. Ya. Chernetsova published texts of children’s riddles, fairy tales and children’s songs in textbooks of the Mansi language. In the work, we followed the methodological principles developed by researchers of the Mansi language and folklore: V. N. Chernetsov, I. Ya. Chernetsova, A. N. Balandin, and E. I. Rombandeeva. The article is devoted to the study of the vocabulary of Mansi oral folk art, and the definition of thematic groups. The relevance of the study is determined by the insufficient knowledge of the vocabulary of children’s folklore in Mansi philology. The theoretical and practical significance of the work lies in the fact that its results can be used in the compilation of dictionaries of various types, in the compilation of textbooks on the Mansi language, in the practice of school teaching, in the preparation of a course of lectures of the Mansi language and folklore. Оbjective: to analyze the vocabulary of the texts of children’s riddles, fairy tales and children’s songs and classify the identified vocabulary into thematic groups. Methods: lexical and semantic analysis, method of observation, as well as a linguistic and cultural approach to the consideration of texts of Mansi folklore.
