THE MEANING OF LIFE AND THE CALLING OF MAN IN LERMONTOV’S LYRICS

The article reveals the main features of the work of Lermontov: the themes of the meaning of life and human vocation, the value attitude towards the world and the special state of spiritual unity of the poet and the Universe, brought to life by the imagination. The poet’s focus is on spirituality associated with mastering the specifics of artistic language, its aesthetic and semantic richness. The ability to interpret life, to see its poetics as the artistic language of culture, allows Lermontov to build a “model of worldview.” A poetic vision of the world is a special vision of the world, which includes philosophical, symbolic and metaphorical aspects. Lermontov's metaphor is always a surprise, unpredictability and a new view of the world.
