UPDATING THE PROFESSIONAL STANDARD OF A TEACHER IN THE FIELD OF FINANCIAL LITERACY, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE INTRODUCTION OF NEW EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS

the article discusses practical techniques that can be used to implement the requirements of the federal educational state standard for teaching financial literacy, and also reflects the benefits of continuing education to improve the quality of teaching. Introduction. Nowadays, modern education has become an integral part of our lives, and its importance is only growing. Continuing education contributes to the development of innovation and science, which is the driving force of progress and development of society. The legislative acts reflect the basic requirements for achieving results in the development of educational programs, including financial literacy, the same requirements can be found in the new educational standards of higher education, but there are no requirements in the professional standard "Teacher" for the level of formation of concepts of financial literacy, the ability to apply them in everyday life, although the draft of the new professional standard was developed back in 2022. The purpose of this article is to analyze the existing problems in teaching financial literacy and to search for effective methods to implement the requirements for the level of mastering this program by schoolchildren. Materials and methods of research. The research methodology is based on the analysis of normative documents for the teacher, the analysis of empirical data obtained during the study of the results of diagnostic work of schoolchildren. The results of the study. The results of the research can be used in the preparation of work programs for training courses, advanced training courses for teachers. Discussion and conclusions. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the functional literacy of schoolchildren is insufficiently formed. Among the identified reasons are textbooks that do not contain tasks for the formation and evaluation of elements of functional literacy, difficulties in compiling such tasks, and the lack of necessary competencies among teachers. The article offers practical techniques for solving these problems, presents the experience of continuous self-education as a method of forming functional literacy in general and financial literacy in particular.
